Edison Prep Students Head to Chicago for National Business Competition

Tulsa Students Traveling to Chicago for National Business Professionals of America Competition

Four students from Edison Preparatory Schools in Tulsa are preparing to travel to Chicago next month to compete in The National Business Professionals of America Competition. This is the first time in years that the school has sent students to this prestigious event, and these students have worked diligently throughout the year to earn their spot.

Business Professionals of America focuses on teaching students valuable real-world business and problem-solving skills, and Colin Clingan, one of the students representing Edison Prep, believes that these skills will be beneficial in his future career. Clingan plans to pursue graphic design after graduation and feels confident that his experiences with resume writing and website creation through the club will give him an advantage as he continues to develop his skills.

Jamarris Jenkins, another student heading to Chicago, qualified for the national competition by placing first at the state level. He shared his experience overcoming challenges related to word processing during the qualifying rounds. Along with Avery Majors and Jesse Johnson, all four students are not only focused on winning but also on how their acquired skills will benefit them in their future endeavors.
