Molina Healthcare organizes mental health event for seniors in Socorro

On Thursday, Borderland seniors raising their grandchildren will have the opportunity to focus on their own mental health during a free seminar happening in Socorro. The event, titled Embracing Mental Health in Aging, is being hosted by the Grandparents Social Club, a division of Molina Healthcare of Texas, along with the Rio Vista Community Center.

The seminar will provide information on health-related topics and offer free blood pressure and glucose screenings. Attendees will also have the chance to connect with other grandparents who are experiencing similar situations, creating a supportive community for those raising their grandchildren. In addition to the educational aspect of the event, there will be a painting activity and light refreshments for all attendees to enjoy.
