Speeko, a startup that focuses on empowering people from diverse backgrounds to speak up confidently, has recently achieved significant growth thanks to the efforts of their team and various partnerships. The company utilizes Google Workspace for collaboration and organization, while Google Ads help drive traffic to their website. In 2023, the number of clicks grew from 80 to 80,000 per month. Nico, a recipient of the Google for Startups Founders Funds, mentions that Google Ads is easy to use for small businesses starting on the platform.

In addition to their digital marketing efforts, Speeko has also benefited from a recent collaboration with Gemini to create and update their library of over 400 coaching exercises. Nico notes that this has allowed them to have a greater impact on their users. Speeko’s mission is to empower people from diverse backgrounds to speak up confidently, as they believe that the way one speaks can significantly impact their professional trajectory.

Jalene Kanani, a Native Hawaiian artist and textile designer, founded NOHO HOME in 2018 with the goal of showcasing a sophisticated side of Hawaiian culture through decor and luxury home products that authentically represent Hawaii’s history and culture. Jalene designs all of the products herself and produces many of them in a small-batch micro-factory in Hawaii. Today, her products are carried by major department stores, demonstrating her success in bringing Hawaiian culture into mainstream home design.
