Eric Coleman has been appointed as the new President of Business Insurance at Farmers Insurance. In this role, he will report directly to CEO Raul Vargas and be responsible for leading commercial underwriting, product development, strategy, finance, and identifying new market opportunities for the Farmers business insurance team.
Coleman brings over 20 years of experience in the industry to his new position. Prior to joining Farmers, he spent over a decade at Nationwide, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Small Business Insurance. In this role, he oversaw a diverse national product portfolio and managed regional operations, including underwriting, processing, and sales.
Coleman also held senior leadership roles at Travelers Insurance and Allied Insurance. His expertise in the industry has earned him praise from Vargas, who stated that he has a proven track record of contributing to an organization’s bottom line and reshaping go-to-market strategies. Vargas expressed his enthusiasm for Coleman’s appointment, highlighting his deep expertise and the value he will bring to the team in strengthening and taking advantage of business insurance opportunities.
