The search is on for Billy Kearse, a 71-year-old man who went missing from his home in Gaffney, South Carolina. Last seen walking along Ann’s Trail near Scruggs Trail around 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Kearse was accompanied by his small Chihuahua dog and was heading out to go fishing.
Kearse has several health concerns, including a tracheotomy and the use of a voice box amplifier. He stands at 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds with shoulder-length gray hair and a tattoo on his left upper arm that reads “Jennie.”
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is currently working diligently to locate Kearse and ensure his safe return home. Anyone with information about Kearse’s whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or the Cherokee 911 Center at 864-487-2747.
