GreenSeam to offer agriculture-focused workshops for businesses – The Globe

On May 2, GreenSeam will be hosting a workshop at the St. James Golf Course in St. James. The objective of this event is to connect local ag-related businesses with the resources they need to succeed or expand their business. Attendees will have the chance to network with fellow businesses, community leaders, and experts in community-based entrepreneurship. They will also gain valuable tools and insights to help them take their business or idea to the next level.

During the workshop, University of Minnesota Extension Educator Neil Linscheid will discuss the critical factors that contribute to business success in the county. Jeff Stamp, inventor of Lays Baked potato chip and professor of entrepreneurship at the U of M, will share his insights on the six problems all entrepreneurs must solve. Additionally, attendees will hear from a panel of successful local businesses such as Romsdahl Companies, Winegar Inc., and Berry Pallets.

The workshop will conclude with a work session where attendees can ask questions, access regional resources, and connect with local Economic Development. There is a fee to attend this event, which includes breakfast. To register and learn more information about this opportunity, visit greenseam.org/GITGSJ.
