On Saturday, the Indian men’s 4x400m relay team clocked a season’s best time of 3:03.23 in heat 2 and secured their spot behind the USA in the upcoming event. However, Arokia Rajiv stepped in for the injured Rajesh Ramesh, resulting in a DNF for the Indian team. Meanwhile, the women’s 4x400m relay race at the Thomas A Robinson Stadium saw India finish behind Jamaica with a time of 3:29.35. Rupal replaced Vithya Ramraj from the team that raced on Saturday. Despite not competing in the second heat of the mixed relay qualifying round on Sunday, Indian runners have until June 30, 2024 to qualify a team for the Paris 2024 Olympics with two quota spots being granted based on the top list during this period.
