Iraq in talks with Russia’s Gazprom about potential collaboration

Hayan Abdul Ghani, the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Iraqi Minister of Oil, recently met with a delegation from the Russian Gazprom company. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Oil headquarters in Baghdad and was attended by the CEO and several officials, as well as the Russian ambassador to Iraq.

The focus of the meeting was on discussing potential bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Russia in the energy sector. Abdul Ghani and the Gazprom delegation discussed various opportunities for collaboration and joint projects in oil and energy.
