Jackson Walker Leads the 37th Annual Technology Law Conference in Austin: Focusing on Emerging Tech, Data Privacy and More

Jonathan Lass to Join Planning Committee for UT School of Law Technology Law Conference; Jennifer Wertz to Speak on “Technology-Centered Bankruptcy & Insolvency” – Jackson Walker

The 37th Annual Technology Law Conference at The University of Texas School of Law will feature a wide range of industry issues, including technology licensing, data privacy, and emerging technology. Jackson Walker partner Jonathan E. Lass played a key role in the conference by serving on the planning committee and as a presiding officer. Another Jackson Walker partner, Jennifer F. Wertz, will be a presenter on May 23 with a presentation titled “A Technology-Focused Introduction to Bankruptcy & Insolvency,” which will provide valuable insights on key bankruptcy and insolvency concepts.

Jonathan E. Lass is based in Austin and specializes in technology outsourcing and mergers and acquisitions transactions at Jackson Walker. He advises both government agencies acquiring mission-critical technology and private sector clients on strategic acquisitions, purchase and sale of businesses and assets, and technology procurement. Jennifer F. Wertz is also based in Austin and is a partner in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring, & Recovery practice at Jackson Walker’s Austin office. She represents various stakeholders involved in bankruptcy proceedings and complex litigation, with an emphasis on workouts and reorganization.
