Jimmies softball team divides doubleheader with Morningside – Jamestown Sun

The University of Jamestown softball team emerged victorious in the first game of the doubleheader, winning 3-1 over Morningside University at their Jensen Softball Complex. The Jimmies took an early lead with Abby Blair driving in a run in the top of the first inning. They added another run to make it 2-0 before the Mustangs scored in the third to bring the score to 2-1. In the fifth inning, Gracie Fisher sealed the win with a run-scoring single, making it 3-1.

However, in the second game of the doubleheader, Max O’Neill from The Jamestown Sun reported that The Jimmies fell short with a 10-6 loss to Morningside University. Despite taking an initial lead of 3-0 in the second inning, The Mustangs fought back to tie the game. Gentry Turin had a standout performance with a 2-for-3 game and two RBIs.
