Jordanian Protest Against Israel: Demand for Action on Palestinian Rights and Peace with Syria.

Protesters in Amman call for an end to agreements with Israel

For the second night in a row, anti-Israeli protests took place in Amman. The police and gendarmerie worked tirelessly to prevent the crowd from reaching the Israeli embassy. According to jo24.net, two demonstrators were arrested after attempting to break through the security forces’ cordon. Over 10,000 people participated in the demonstration organized by a youth organization.

The protesters demanded that Jordan take practical measures to stop Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. They called for an end to all agreements with Israel, including the peace treaty (Wadi Arba agreement) and the gas agreement. Additionally, they demanded a ban on land delivery of goods from Persian Gulf countries through Jordan and an export of vegetables.

jo24.net reported that the demonstrators believed that Amman should stop military cooperation with the United States, which they held responsible for aggression in Gaza Strip. Furthermore, protesters insisted on opening borders to allow Jordanian youth to join the Palestinian resistance movement.
