Kaman and Textron Systems have recently announced a strategic alliance agreement to collaborate on opportunities and critical technologies for Kaman’s Kargo UAV. The partnership brings together two companies with over 30 years of experience in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to build on their combined capabilities and enhance the reach of the Kargo UAV for customers across the globe.
Romin Dasmalchi, general manager of Kargo UAV, expressed excitement about the agreement, stating that it will help the team maintain pace as they move towards productionizing and scaling the Kargo UAV. He noted that collaborating with Textron Systems, a team with a deep bench of knowledge and experience, is a great opportunity.
Wayne Prender, senior vice president of Air Systems at Textron Systems, also emphasized the benefits of the collaboration. He mentioned that by working with Kaman, Textron Systems can build on their extensive experience in UAS and expand their capability set. He expressed eagerness to support the critical capability that Kaman is bringing with their Kargo UAV.
