London School of Economics and Political Science Reclaims Top Spots in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024

London School of Economics (LSE) Ranked Best in London for Social Science and Management Subjects

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) has once again achieved top honors in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024. LSE was ranked sixth in the world for Social Science and Management subjects, with strong performances across various disciplines.

The rankings highlight LSE’s commitment to excellence in multiple fields, with top five placements in eight subjects including Communications and Media Studies, Geography, Philosophy, Development Studies, Social Policy and Administration, History, Sociology, and Politics and International Studies. Additionally, LSE was ranked 6th for Accounting and Finance, 7th for Economics and Econometrics, and 7th for Law.

LSE’s Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research), Professor Susana Mourato, expressed pride in the school’s accomplishments and highlighted LSE’s dedication to research excellence and real-world impact as key factors in its success. “We are thrilled to see our hard work recognized on a global scale,” said Professor Mourato. “Our commitment to academic excellence is at the heart of everything we do at LSE.”

These recent rankings are just one example of LSE’s consistent performance across various league tables. The school was named the top university in London and fourth in the UK in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024 and the Guardian’s Best UK Universities league table 2024. The rankings draw data from over 1500 institutions worldwide.
