Louis Leterrier to Direct Sci-Fi Horror Film ‘11817’ as it Launches Sales at Cannes

Louis Leterrier, the director of Fast X, is set to produce and direct the sci-fi horror film 11817. The movie’s script was written by Matthew Robinson, who penned The Invention of Lying. Currently, 11817 is being presented to buyers at Cannes by Rocket Science.

The story revolves around a family of four who are inexplicably trapped inside their house indefinitely. As they run out of both modern luxuries and life essentials, they must learn to be resourceful and outsmart whoever or whatever is keeping them trapped to survive.

Casting for the film is currently underway, and various producers are on board, including Leterrier, Thomas Benski, Omar Sy, Lars Sylvest, Kori Adelson, Oly Obst, Thorsten Schumacher, Joe Neurauter, and Cecile Gaget. The project will be produced by Carrousel Studios in collaboration with Rocket Science, Thank You Studios, Chernin Entertainment
