WSVN 7News: Museum of Discovery and Science debuts new immersive MAGNA-TILES Studio in Miami

In downtown Fort Lauderdale, the Museum of Discovery and Science unveiled a new immersive space called the MAGNA-TILES Studio. This innovative studio offers children an opportunity to explore, create, and let their imaginations run wild by combining play with a learning experience.

During a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, Joe Cox, the museum’s president and CEO, highlighted the limitless possibilities of the MAGNA-TILES Studio. He emphasized that children can use the MAGNA-TILES to create space engines, submarines for unicorns, and more while learning about magnetism, light, and color. The studio provides a full STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) experience.

The workshop features five creation stations with magnet-building activities. These play sets are designed to enhance children’s skills and understanding of various subjects. The MAGNA-TILES Studio aims to provide a fun and educational environment where kids can engage in hands-on learning activities.
