Leapfrog Group Awards McLeod Health Hospitals with Safety Grade of A

A recent announcement from the Leapfrog Group recognized McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon, and McLeod Health Dillon with an “A” Hospital Safety Grade. This national nonprofit organization focuses on maintaining patient safety standards in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.

Dr. Caetie Rabon, Rural Regional Chief Medical Officer for McLeod Health, expressed gratitude for the recognition and attributed it to the hard work and dedication of the hospital teams. The Leapfrog Group evaluates hospitals based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries, infections, and the preventive systems in place.

Rachel Gainey, CEO of McLeod Health Clarendon, emphasized the unwavering dedication of the staff in upholding the highest safety and quality standards. Brent Lowe, CEO of McLeod Health Cheraw, highlighted the staff’s commitment to implementing best patient practices.
