Med Center Health Expands Its Reach in Barren County with Groundbreaking of New Healthcare Facility

With the groundbreaking of a new healthcare facility in Glasgow, Med Center Health is expanding its presence in Barren County. Top executives and physicians from the health system are eagerly anticipating the milestone event, scheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m. at 401 S. L. Rogers Wells Blvd., next to the Sherwin Williams paint store.

Connie Smith, president and CEO of Med Center Health, emphasized the importance of improving access to care for patients across Southcentral Kentucky. As more than half of their patients travel from areas outside of Warren County, the new facility will bring vital healthcare services closer to home for many in the region.

The construction of the 22,000 square foot facility is being led by contractor Scott, Murphy, and Daniel in collaboration with Stengel Hill Architecture. The facility will feature an outpatient diagnostic imaging center with state-of-the-art technology, providing services such as radiology, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, CT, and MRI.

In addition to diagnostic services, Med Center Glasgow will offer a wide range of specialties including Primary Care, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery
