Miami Dolphins bolster defense and special teams with signings of Cam Brown and Siran Neal

NBC Sports reports that the Dolphins have signed Cam Brown

The Dolphins have signed former linebacker Cam Brown to their 90-man roster on Wednesday. Brown, a former 2020 sixth-round pick of the Giants, spent the last four years with the team before joining Miami. While he only played 103 snaps on defense for the Giants, Brown accumulated 1,328 snaps on special teams and served as one of the team’s captains. In his 60 regular season appearances with the Giants, Brown recorded 35 tackles, two forced fumbles, and three quarterback hits.

The Dolphins also signed Siran Neal as a free agent this offseason to add depth and experience to their special teams unit. Neal was previously a special teamer with the Bills and is expected to have a prominent role in Miami’s kicking game if he makes it to the 53-man roster. The signing of Neal adds more options and versatility to the Dolphins’ special teams unit.

Both players are expected to contribute significantly to Miami’s defense and special teams, adding new talent and leadership to the team. The addition of Brown strengthens Miami’s defense by bringing in someone with experience playing both offense and defense, while Neal brings in experience working on all aspects of special teams. Overall, these signings will help Miami build a well-rounded roster that can compete at a high level in all areas of play.
