Minnesota Breweries Shine at the World Beer Cup: 6 Medal Winners Celebrate Their Triumphs in Las Vegas

In 2024, over 9,000 entries were submitted by more than 2,000 breweries competing for gold, silver, and bronze in 110 categories at the World Beer Cup in Las Vegas. This prestigious competition is known as the “Olympics of beer” and is considered the largest and most esteemed beer competition globally.

Six Minnesota brewers were recognized for their exceptional beers and received medals at this esteemed event. Two Minnesota breweries clinched bronze medals, two received silver medals, and two were awarded gold medals.

Bob Galligan, the director of government and industry relations for the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, expressed immense pride in the recipients for showcasing the high-quality beer produced by Minnesota brewers. The winners from Minnesota included:

– GOLD: German-Style Altbier “Little Dussel Do-Ya,” Bent Paddle Brewing Co., Duluth

– GOLD: German-Style Doppelbock or Eisbock “Dopplebock,” Northbound Smokehouse & Brewpub, Minneapolis

– SILVER: Fruit Beer “Big Island Citrus Blonde Ale,” Excelsior Brewing Co., Excelsior

– SILVER: Dortmunder/Export of German-Style Oktoberfest “Dortmunder,” Lupulin Brewing, Big Lake

– BRONZE: German-Style Doppelbock or Eisbock “Doppel (doppel) Bock (bock),” BeerClub Brewing, Mora

– BRONZE: Mixed Culture Brett Beer “Idyll Forest – Soirée,” Pryes Brewing Co., Minneapolis

These awards highlight the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of Minnesota brewers in the global beer industry.
