MIT Retains Top Spot in QS World University Rankings for 2024 with 13 Subject Rankings

MIT News reports that QS World University Rankings has ranked MIT No. 1 in 11 subjects for 2024

MIT has once again been named the top university in the world by QS World University Rankings, with a total of 13 subject rankings for 2024. The Institute received top honors in Chemical Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, Computer Science and Information Systems, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Linguistics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautics and Manufacturing Engineering, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy, Statistics and Operational Research.

In addition to these rankings, MIT also placed second in several other broad subject areas including Accounting and Finance, Architecture/Built Environment, Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Economics and Econometrics. Overall, MIT was ranked first in the broader subject area of Engineering and Technology.
