The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago closes unexpectedly for maintenance on Wednesday

The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago will be closed for unplanned maintenance on Wednesday. Visitors who purchased advance tickets will be refunded or can reschedule for another time by calling 773-684-1414. The museum is expected to reopen for normal hours on Thursday.

Adam Harrington, a web producer for CBS News Chicago, reported that the museum is currently hosting several exhibitions. “007 Science: Inventing the World of James Bond” focuses on the science and technology behind the popular movie franchise, while “The Blue Paradox” offers an immersive experience exploring the impacts of plastic pollution on the ocean. The Black Creativity Juried Art Exhibition, a long-running event at the museum, will be on display until Sunday, April 21. In the Giant Dome Theater, films such as “Dark Universe,” “Michael Jordan to the Max,” and “Tornado Alley” will be shown through May 17.
