Madison Realty Capital has recently welcomed Samir Tejpaul as their new head of capital markets, coming from Affinius Capital. Tejpaul brings six years of experience from Affinius, where he most recently held the position of head of credit capital markets & specialty asset finance.
Tejpaul expressed his excitement about working with Madison Realty Capital, stating that the firm is well-positioned for growth in the current environment. He looks forward to collaborating with Shatz and Zegen to capitalize on the opportunities ahead. During his time at Affinius, Tejpaul worked on various deals involving transitional bridge debt, construction, and commercial mortgage-backed securities loans. Prior to joining Square Mile in 2018, he was a vice president in Deutsche Bank’s commercial real estate group.
Tejpaul holds the position of current chair of the Alternative Lenders & High Yield Investors Forum with the CRE Finance Council. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University. Shatz and Zegen praised Tejpaul’s background as a seasoned real estate investor and his ability to drive value-creating initiatives. They emphasized the importance of experienced lenders with stability and certainty of execution in the current market.
