Volunteers from New York Cares Assist Students at PS 135 with Their Science Projects

In an effort to engage more than one thousand volunteers and provide support to individuals in need across the five boroughs of New York City, New York Cares has announced over 200 volunteer opportunities during National Volunteer Week, which will take place from April 19-25.

During this week, New York Cares volunteers recently assisted fifth grade students at PS 135 Sheldon A. Brookner in Brooklyn with science experiments. This hands-on experience allowed students to enhance their core science skills and participate in projects like building Solar paneled racers and erupting volcanoes.
