On Thursday, May 2, a total of 118 current or former University of Utah student-athletes will be recognized as graduates during the university’s 155th general commencement. This event will celebrate students who have earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Fall 2023 and Spring and Summer 2024.
Utah’s student-athletes have a high graduation rate, with a 94-percent figure in the most recent NCAA GSR Report released in December 2023. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Utah has scored 93-percent or higher, ranking second in the Pac-12 behind Stanford.
The student-athletes from various sports programs, including baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, cross country, track & field, football, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, skiing, soccer, softball, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, men’s and women’s tennis, beach volleyball, and volleyball will be receiving their degrees during the commencement ceremony.
