The Australian Women’s cricket team is gearing up for their seventh ICC Women’s T20 World Cup title in 2024, which will be held in Bangladesh from October 3 to 20. As the reigning champions, Australia has been placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and a qualifier team. Group B consists of Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and another qualifier team.
The two qualifier teams for the tournament will be determined during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi on May 7. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on October 17 and 18. The final of the tournament will take place on October 20 at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Australia is the most successful team in this competition, having won six titles in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, and 2023. England and West Indies are the only other teams to have claimed this championship title.
