Betty Camp, a Parkersburg resident, has fond memories of attending Mountain State College. She recalls how the school’s red brick building stood out in the community and the sound of typewriters in the typing class brought a sense of excitement to her learning experience.

Many young men returning from military service used their G.I. Bill benefits to attend Mountain State to study accounting and other business courses.
