Rimac Technology and BMW Group Team Up for High-Voltage Battery Units: A Game-Changing Partnership in the EV Industry

Rimac Technology chosen to supply high-voltage battery units to BMW

On April 9, Croatian electric vehicle (EV) technology solutions provider, Rimac Technology, announced a long-term partnership with BMW Group to provide high-voltage battery units for the German automotive manufacturer’s model generations scheduled for the second half of this decade. This collaboration is a significant milestone for Rimac Technology as it represents the largest and most ambitious project they have undertaken to date.

To support this partnership, Rimac Technology will establish sophisticated automated production lines for batteries at the Rimac Campus near Zagreb, the Croatian capital. A substantial portion of the campus will be dedicated to this project, demonstrating the company’s commitment to working with BMW Group. The company believes that their strengths and expertise complement each other in a productive way, with BMW Group bringing expertise in battery and electric drive systems acquired over more than 15 years.
