Rory McIlroy Seeks Guidance from Butch Harmon to Improve Game before The Masters

Rory McIlroy Seeks Advice from Tiger Woods’ Former Coach, Butch Harmon, Ahead of Masters Tourney

Golf superstar Rory McIlroy is seeking guidance from renowned coach Butch Harmon as he looks to improve his game ahead of the upcoming Masters tournament. McIlroy, currently ranked second in the world, has struggled in recent PGA Tour events and is hoping to address his issues before competing at Augusta.

Harmon, who famously coached Tiger Woods during his early major wins, is now assisting McIlroy in improving his game. While McIlroy’s long-time coach is Michael Bannon, the four-time major winner has also worked with Pete Cowen. Before meeting with Harmon in Las Vegas, McIlroy shared a heartwarming moment with his daughter Poppy, who questioned why he needed a golf lesson when he already knew how to play.

Despite having nine unsuccessful attempts at Augusta to complete the career Grand Slam, McIlroy remains determined to succeed. His best finish at The Masters was second place in 2022, and he has had five other top-10 performances at the prestigious tournament. With Harmon’s guidance, McIlroy hopes to elevate his game and achieve his goal of winning The Masters.
