Schuylkill Technology Center Instructor Bill Mack Honored as 2024 Elbert K. Fretwell Educator of the Year”.

Educator at Schuylkill Technology Center Honored as Educator of the Year by Hawk Mountain Council BSA

Bill Mack, a Social Studies Instructor at Schuylkill Technology Center North Campus, was named the 2024 Elbert K. Fretwell Educator of the Year by the Hawk Mountain Council BSA. The award was presented at a breakfast held at STC North Campus on April 26, 2024.

With sixteen years of teaching experience, Bill began his career at North Schuylkill School District and now teaches at Schuylkill Technology Center. He has held leadership positions in various organizations, including serving as District President and Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the Pennsylvania Elks Association. Additionally, he serves as the STC SkillsUSA Advisor.

Bill earned his bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree from Bloomsburg University. He is currently working towards his Principal’s Certification from Alvernia University. Mr. Mack was chosen for his exceptional teaching skills, ability to foster leadership in his students, and his dedication to community service as stated by Shannon Brennan, STC Director.

Bill and his wife Holly are proud parents of daughter Laynie.
