Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend, hailed as a top prospect for 2025 NFL Draft

Shedeur Sanders draft rumors: NFL scout believes Colorado QB would have been top quarterback prospect in 2024 draft ahead of Caleb Williams

The 2024 NFL Draft has come to a close, and already, the talk is shifting to the top prospects for the 2025 draft. One name that is being mentioned prominently is Shedeur Sanders, the son of NFL star and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

Sanders, who plays quarterback for Colorado, has been hailed as one of the top prospects for the 2025 draft. In fact, he was considered QB1 by some evaluators if he had opted to enter the 2024 draft. While he may not have surpassed Caleb Williams as the top quarterback in the 2024 draft class, Sanders has shown great talent throughout his career at Jackson State and Colorado.

During his time at Jackson State, Sanders led his team to a 3-0 start in the 2023 season before struggling in their final eight games. Despite averaging an impressive 30.8 points per game offensively, the defense struggled and the team was unable to keep up in the second half of the season. However, this did not deter him from putting himself in a strong position for the 2025 draft.

Sanders followed in his father’s footsteps and transferred to Colorado for his junior season. Here he solidified his status as a top prospect with a solid performance at Power 5 level. NFL evaluators believe that if he had entered the 2024 draft, he would have been a first-round pick. Regardless of whether or not he enters next year’s draft, it is clear that Sanders has great talent and will be one of the top prospects for years to come.
