Sierra Vista Middle School’s Triple Victory at Southern California Science Olympiad Championship Tournament

Sierra Vista students triumph at Science Olympiad

For the third consecutive year, a team of students from Sierra Vista Middle School have emerged triumphant at the state Science Olympiad Championship Tournament, earning them the esteemed title of Southern California Science Olympiad Champions.

Held in April at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, the tournament attracted teams of student competitors from across the state who were eager to showcase their skills in science, technology, and engineering. The competition was intense, but with dedication and hard work, the Sierra Vista team emerged victorious once again.

The high school division saw Northwood and University High Schools finish in second and third place respectively. This just goes to show how fierce the competition was that Sierra Vista faced to secure their championship victory.

Comprised of 19 talented students, the Sierra Vista team put in countless hours preparing for this momentous event. Their efforts paid off as they will now move on to compete in the Science Olympiad National Tournament which will be held this month at Michigan State University. This national event brings together top teams from all over the country and Sierra Vista is ready to represent California and defend their title with pride.
