The 2024 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is set to take place from May 15-18 at Liberty Park in Memphis, Tennessee. This four-day event will be packed with entertainment, live music performances and barbecue cooking demonstrations.
The festivities will kick off on Wednesday night with the fan-favorite Barbecue Sauce Wrestling at the Cattlemen’s Main Stage. Throughout the rest of the event, attendees can enjoy live music performances from bands like Marcy Playground on Thursday, Ingram Hill on Friday, and DJ MicTee from K97 on Saturday.
For those looking to learn more about barbecue cooking techniques, the Cooker Caravan with Heath Riles BBQ will offer escorted tours on Thursday and Friday. Guests can also participate in the Kingsford Tour of Champions, where they can sample barbecue from different teams and cast their vote for the best.
In addition to these exciting entertainment offerings, attendees can also meet and greet with pitmasters like Moe Cason, Joe Davidson, and Chris Lilly at the Home Depot Outdoor Kitchen. They can also sample free barbecue from other experts at this stage. The McCormick Demo Stage will provide culinary tips and a chance to meet Rocky Stubblefield of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Sauce.
