SEED Center to Host Various Events in Celebration of National Small Business Development Week

In honor of National Small Business Development Week, the Southwest Economic Development Alliance is hosting a series of events in Lake Charles, Louisiana. These events celebrate the hard work, dedication, and economic contributions of small businesses across the country.

The first event is the Incubator of SWLA Showcase on Monday, April 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Keynote speaker David Minton, owner of Pentangeli Row Development Group and Cypress Group, will discuss starting a business, growing a business, and managing success. Food will be provided and RSVP is required for this event.

On Tuesday, April 30, the Business Roundtable on “Money: Finding, Managing and Growing this Resource in a Small Business Environment” will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event is free to the public and features experts discussing how small businesses can find funding sources and manage their finances effectively.

Wednesday, May 1 sees the Business Roundtable on “Successfully Recruiting, Training and Retaining Talent in Southwest Louisiana – It Can Be Done!” being held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m at Lake Charles Civic Center Auditorium A. Moderated by Incubator Program Participant Amy Vincent from 3 Light Services, this event features a panel of business leaders discussing strategies for recruiting top talent and keeping them motivated within your organization
