The Be Healthy Bash is set to kick off the summer season on June 8 at the Fayette County Extension Office in Lexington. Hosted by UK HealthCare and the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, along with partners such as the UK Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center, UK HealthCare’s Healthy Kentucky Initiative, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, and the Fayette County Extension Office, this event aims to promote overall well-being through nutrition, fitness, and emotional wellness.
The Be Healthy Bash will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature a range of activities for attendees to participate in. These include health screenings, wellness resources, free food, cooking demonstrations, emotional wellness activities, physical activities, and games. In addition to these activities, there will be inflatables for both kids and adults, a petting zoo, safety education at Safety City, a smoothie bike, a meet and greet with UK’s Wally Cat, live music, and more.
