Tadweer and Levidian Team Up to Tackle Climate-Related Challenges in Waste Management

Tadweer joins forces with Livedian to reduce carbon emissions from waste

The Tadweer Group has teamed up with the British climate company Levidian in international projects focused on removing carbon from waste. They are currently working on a pilot project in Abu Dhabi, which is set to be the first of its kind and will be operational by the end of 2024.

John Hartley, CEO of Levidian, emphasized the urgency of addressing climate-related challenges in the waste sector. By partnering with Tadweer, Levidian aims to provide scalable solutions for waste management worldwide and reduce carbon emissions.

Ali Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of Tadweer, expressed that investing in sustainability technology is crucial to bringing advanced solutions to the UAE. The partnership with Levidian will help Tadweer pioneer groundbreaking waste treatment methods that benefit future generations.

Oliver Christian, the British government’s trade commissioner in the Middle East, highlighted that the partnership reflects a shared ambition to tackle one of the world’s biggest climate challenges. He added that this collaboration will create new opportunities for converting waste to energy and extracting value from waste globally.

The joint project between Tadweer and Levidian will utilize a mobile system to implement carbon removal projects in Abu Dhabi and globally. This technology aims to address methane waste issues and provide scalable solutions for waste management worldwide.
