The Laredo Health Department is reminding the community to remain vigilant as we approach the end of the peak season for respiratory illnesses. Despite low levels of flu and other infections in the area, it is important to stay up to date with vaccines to protect yourself and those around you.

Jaime Perez from the Laredo Health Department emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated to prevent illness. Currently, there have been over 500 cases of flu registered in the city. To protect yourself and your family members, it is recommended to get vaccinated against RSV, which will be available until the end of the month. The flu vaccine will be available until June 30th for both adults and children.
