Tiger Woods Makes Impressive Cut at Masters, Adding to Record

Tiger Woods Achieves Masters Milestone with 24th Straight Cut Made

In the storied world of golf, Tiger Woods has added another record to his illustrious career by making the cut for a 24th consecutive time at the Masters. Despite facing challenges such as battling injuries and a lengthy 23-hole Friday, Woods finished with a 36-hole score of 1-over-par 145, comfortably inside the projected cut line of 4 over. This surpasses the previous record of 23 consecutive cuts made held by Gary Player and Fred Couples.

Tiger Woods’ journey at Augusta National began early on Friday as he had to complete his first round from the previous day due to a weather delay. He posted two bogeys and three pars to card a 1-over 73 before heading straight back out for his Round 2 tee time. In the challenging second round, Woods managed to make four birdies and four bogeys to card an even-par 72, showcasing his resilience and determination.

The level of physical exertion required for this feat is no longer as easy for Tiger Woods, who has been plagued by injuries in recent years. Following a car crash in February 2021 that left him with injuries to his legs, ankle, and foot, Woods has had to play sparingly. His most recent tournament appearance was the Genesis Invitational in February, where he withdrew after 24 holes due to illness. Despite these challenges, Tiger Woods remains determined and focused on the major championships ahead.

Tiger Wood’s impressive record of 24 consecutive Masters cuts made has been achieved over several years, with his last missed cut coming in 1996 as an amateur. Since then, he has continued to compete at a high level, adding to his Masters victories in 1997, 2001,
