Uganda Prepares to Make History as Hosts of 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup

Uganda Squad for T20 World Cup 2024 Includes 43-Year-Old Player Frank Nsubuga

The 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup will see the participation of Uganda, who have been selected as the host nation for the tournament. This will be the first time that Uganda has ever participated in a World Cup, and they will be joined by Namibia as the two teams to qualify from the Africa leg of the qualifiers.

Uganda’s captain for the tournament is Brian Masaba, who will lead a squad of 15 players. Among those players is Frank Nsubuga, who is set to become the oldest player in the tournament at 43 years old. Riazat Ali Shah has been named as vice-captain, with Ronald Lutaaya and Innocent Mwebaze serving as traveling reserve players.

Uganda has been placed in Group C for the tournament alongside Afghanistan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and the West Indies. Their first match will take place against Afghanistan on June 4th in Providence, Guyana. The squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup includes players like Kenneth Waiswa, Dinesh Nakrani, and Ronak Patel.
