As a journalist, I understand the importance of protecting copyrighted materials from being misused. It is crucial to obtain permission before reprinting any content from the Associated Press. The AP has strict rules in place to prevent unauthorized use of their text, photo, graphic, audio and/or video material.
According to the AP’s terms of use, their materials may not be published, broadcast, rewritten for broadcast or publication, or redistributed directly or indirectly in any medium. Additionally, these AP materials cannot be stored in a computer except for personal and noncommercial use. This means that journalists must obtain permission before using any AP content in their work.
