Team USA Dominates Slovakia with a 9-0 Victory in Opening Game of U18 World Championship

In the second period, Team USA’s top line scored again, this time from James Hagens. With 5:18 left in the period, Hagens added another goal for the U.S. with a beautiful passing play in the offensive zone. Trevor Connelly set up the sequence with a tic-tac-toe pass that disrupted Slovakia’s defense.

Defenseman John Whipple also contributed to Team USA’s offense, scoring his first goal of the tournament on a wrist shot from the left dot. Eiserman passed the puck back to Dakoda Rheaume-Mullen, who then passed it to Whipple for the score.
