Piedmont Family Practice, based in Warrenton, Va., has been acquired by UVA Health, which is headquartered in Charlottesville, Va. This acquisition is part of UVA Health’s expansion strategy and is expected to be finalized this summer, as stated in a news release issued on May 7th.
Piedmont Family Practice currently employs 90 individuals, including seven physicians, 17 advanced practice providers, a registered dietitian, and a certified diabetic educator. Under the new ownership of UVA Health, all existing employees at Piedmont Family Practice will continue working.
The practice offers three main clinical services: general health services, diabetes counseling, in-office surgery, women’s health, and pediatric care. Piedmont Urgent Care specializes in COVID-19 testing, lab testing, and urgent-care services.
