UVA Health’s Culpeper Medical Center Celebrates National Doctors’ Day with Generous $10,000 Donation to Free Clinic of Culpeper

The Free Clinic of Culpeper, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential healthcare services to uninsured individuals and those who cannot afford medical care, has received a $10,000 donation from UVA Health in honor of National Doctors’ Day. The donation serves as a token of appreciation for the exceptional service of physicians in the community.

Tammy LaGraffe, Director of the Free Clinic of Culpeper, expressed deep gratitude for UVA Health’s ongoing support of the clinic and its patients. Situated on the UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center campus, the free clinic benefits from UVA Health’s collaboration by receiving lab work, imaging services, and specialty care for patients in need.

The clinic’s dedicated staff is supported by a team of community volunteers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and office staff. In addition to medical treatment, the clinic collaborates with local partners to offer patients access to other critical services like counseling, transportation assistance, literacy training, employment support, and nutrition counseling.

Donna Staton, Chief Operating Officer of UVA Community Health and Chief Operating Officer of UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center expressed gratitude for the dedicated doctors who serve patients in Culpeper and beyond. She noted that the donation reflects UVA Health’s commitment to the clinic’s mission and their role as steadfast partners in the health and well-being of Culpeper.
