Washington Adds Sam Hartman to their QB Lineup with Impressive Guarantee

Commanders sign QB Sam Hartman as an undrafted free agent with $245,000 guaranteed contract

Washington has been busy adding quarterbacks to their roster, with the recent addition of Sam Hartman as an undrafted free agent. Alongside their No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels, Washington now has a strong QB lineup that includes Marcus Mariota, Jeff Driskel, and Jake Fromm.

Sam Hartman, a former Notre Dame quarterback, received an impressive guarantee as an undrafted free agent, with a $20,000 signing bonus and a $225,000 base salary guarantee. This indicates that the Commanders see potential in Hartman and expect him to make an impact on the team.

With a total of five quarterbacks on their roster, it seems likely that Jayden Daniels will start as the Commanders’ QB, with Mariota backing him up. Hartman will have a good opportunity to compete with Driskel and Fromm for the No. 3 spot on the team.

Hartman brings valuable experience to the Commanders, having started 57 games in his six-season college football career, which included time at both Wake Forest and Notre Dame. His addition adds depth and talent to Washington’s quarterback lineup.
