40 border posts were erected along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border

On May 6, 40 border posts were installed along the Armenia-Azerbaijani border as part of ongoing coordinate adjustment works. The Armenian government has announced that expert groups from both countries are continuing their work on this project. However, the exact length of territory that has been demarcated has not been officially confirmed yet.

The process of determining coordinates on the border began on April 23 with geodetic measurements being carried out on the ground by expert groups from both countries as per the agreements of the border demarcation commissions. According to these agreements, certain parts of the Tavush-Kazakh border will be aligned to match the existing inter-republican border at the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Armenian side will be retreating in the direction of Baghanis-Ayr, Ashagh and Askipara, Kheiriml and Ghezilhajili villages, while areas in front of Berkaber and sections of the interstate road adjacent to Voskepar remain under Armenian control.
