The Momentous Institute is hosting a free panel on April 30th at 5:30 pm at Collin College Frisco Campus. This event aims to shed light on the root causes of the mental health crisis and provide families with a toolkit to navigate it. Dr. Jessica Gomez, Executive Director of the Momentous Institute, emphasizes the importance of addressing mental health stigma and improving access to services and educational opportunities.

According to Dr. Gomez, Texas ranks last in the country for mental health care access, which highlights the need for increased awareness and resources. She encourages individuals to engage in conversations around mental health and utilize proven strategies to promote mental wellness.

The Momentous Institute has taken it upon themselves to provide families with a toolkit that will help them navigate the current mental health crisis. The toolkit will be introduced during the panel discussion and will include resources such as coping strategies, self-care tips, and information on local mental health services.
