Western Slope Iron and Supply Marks Half a Century of Business Success

Western Slope Iron and Supply, a company that has been providing steel fabrication services for over 50 years, recently celebrated its milestone with an open house. The event was attended by various stakeholders, including customers, contractors, vendors, subcontractors, trade partners, and generations of owners. The occasion saw about 100 people in attendance and included a ribbon-cutting ceremony held by the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce to commemorate the company’s achievement.

The founder of Western Slope Iron and Supply, Jim Over, as well as his son Jeff Over, who now owns the business, and current owner David Marsh were all present for the celebration. During his speech, Marsh expressed gratitude for the support that has allowed the company to thrive over the past five decades. He attributed Western Slope Iron and Supply’s success to having resilient employees, loyal customers, and a commitment to treating people well.

Western Slope Iron and Supply specializes in steel fabrication and has provided materials for various local projects. These include the Community Hospital’s James Pulsipher Regional Cancer Center, the new Grand Junction High School, the new Orchard Mesa Middle School, and the Lincoln Park Stadium Tower. In addition to local projects, the company has also supplied steel for projects across the state and even some out-of-state projects such as the expansion of McCarran International Airport (now Harry Reid International Airport) in Las Vegas during the 2000s.

Overall, Western Slope Iron and Supply’s 50th anniversary is a significant milestone that highlights its long-standing commitment to providing quality steel fabrication services in Mesa County.
