Review: Highlights from CAST’s Science and Technology Week 2024

The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) recently celebrated its achievements in the field of science and technology during its annual Science and Technology Week. This week-long event recognized students, professionals, faculty members, and alumni for their contributions to the field.

The week kicked off with a keynote address from Dr. Nita A. Farahany, a renowned scholar in the ethics of emerging technologies. She discussed the impact of neurotechnology on our lives, the challenges in regulating cognitive privacy laws, and the potential future of cognitive freedom for humanity.

One of the highlights of Science and Technology Week was the CONNECT Event hosted by Cast Connections. During this event, current students had an opportunity to network with recent alumni who shared their experiences on effective communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, leadership abilities, and proper networking strategies.

The week culminated with CAST recognizing its alumni by inducting them into the Academy of Achievement. The Academy brought together thought leaders in various fields who served as an inspiration to others pursuing similar career paths.

Overall, Science and Technology Week was a resounding success due to the efforts of students, faculty members, professionals, and alumni who participated in it.
