Dover Motor Speedway Gets Ready for a Thrilling NASCAR Cup Series Weekend

Xfinity Series Race and Schedule for Saturday Cup at Dover Motor Speedway

Dover Motor Speedway is preparing for a full day of on-track action this Saturday as NASCAR’s Cup teams practice and qualify for Sunday’s race at 2 p.m. ET on FS1. In the Xfinity series, defending winner Ryan Truex is back in the lineup for Joe Gibbs Racing, alongside four other drivers who have secured spots in the playoffs: Austin Hill, Chandler Smith, Sam Mayer, and Jesse Love.

Love will be one of four drivers competing for the final Dash 4 Cash $100,000 bonus against Ryan Sieg, Anthony Alfredo, and Riley Herbst on Saturday. Corey Heim will make his Cup debut at Dover Motor Speedway as he practices and qualifies in the No. 43 Legacy Motor Club Toyota, replacing Erik Jones who sustained a back injury in a crash at Talladega. Heim will make his first Cup start on Sunday.

Riley Herbst expressed frustration after being unable to pass other drivers on a green-white-checkered finish during last season’s race at Dover Motor Speedway. The Saturday schedule includes cup and Xfinity series practice and Cup qualifying in the morning, with the Xfinity Series race set for 1:30 p.m. under cloudy skies and a high of 57 degrees with a 2% chance of rain. The garage will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with cup practice starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by cup qualifying on FS1 later that day before the Xfinity Series race begins at 1:30 p.m., covering 200 laps or 200 miles, broadcasted on FS1 throughout the weekend event at Dover Motor Speedway
