From Delay to Launch: XDefiant’s May 21 Release on Xbox Series

XDefiant, a first-person shooter game, will launch on Xbox, PS5, and PC on May 21.

Ubisoft is thrilled to announce that the first-person shooter XDefiant will be launched on May 21 for Xbox Series. The game, which is part of the Tom Clancy’s franchise, was first presented in July 2021 with support for multiplayer mode, customizable characters, and various game modes.

Originally planned for a summer 2023 release, the game was delayed due to certification issues from Sony and Microsoft. After addressing some inconsistencies in the gameplay experience, the development team announced that XDefiant will now be released on May 21 for Xbox, PS5, and PC platforms.

XDefiant offers players a unique gaming experience with its diverse range of factions, weapons, and game modes. Players can choose one of the five factions available and customize their equipment both before the game starts and at respawn. The game features five game modes on 14 maps, with 24 weapons and 44 accessories. Each faction offers two active skills, a passive upgrade, and an ultra skill that must be charged during the game.

Available weapons include submachine guns, shotguns, assault rifles, and sniper rifles, with players able to equip one primary and one secondary weapon as well as a grenade. The game modes are divided into Arena categories like Domination
