Pottawatomie County Health Department to Temporarily Close Next Tuesday for Funeral of Westmoreland Resident

Ann Miller, a beloved member of the Pottawatomie County community in Kansas, passed away during a tornado that struck Westmoreland on April 30. In honor of her memory and contributions to the community, the Pottawatomie County Health Department will be closed next Tuesday.

The closure is an opportunity for Health Department staff to attend Ann Miller’s funeral services and mourn the loss of their colleague and friend. The Health Department staff will take the day off to pay their respects and remember Miller as the welcoming face of the department for 28 years.

Ann Miller had a significant impact on the Pottawatomie County community, and this was evident by the outpouring of support and condolences from residents and officials. An obituary for Miller is available for those who wish to pay their respects and learn more about her life.

During the closure, the Health Department will not be offering any services or appointments. Normal operations are expected to resume on Wednesday, May 15. The community is encouraged to join in honoring Miller’s memory and offering their support to her loved ones during this difficult time.
